My Smarter iKettle v3 stopped connecting recently. It runs on an Electric Imp chip. I contacted Smarter support and checked various forums — turns out this is happening to all iKettle users. Most likely Smarter stopped paying their Electric Imp bills.
Hi @oneuser. We haven’t received an official request letter from Smarter asking to unbless any of their devices. From legal standpoint, this is still “their” device linked to Smarter account, albeit the kettle not working as expected and causing issues for you as an end user. Unless we receive that request from Smarter, we won’t be able to proceed further.
