Where to purchase NeoPixel and Env Tails?

Hi,

I purchased the April board + the 2 Tails at Maker Faire (San Mateo) and I think it’s a great combo. However, I did not find the tails on sale at AdaFruit or MakerShed. Are they available anywhere for sale?

We designed the tails as a Maker Faire special, and as a result they are not currently available anywhere else…

We’re considering a couple options for distribution, but currently have no hard set plans.

You know I don’t mean this as a criticism, but the info on the Dev Center really does suggest the Tails are readily available… “NEW Introducing Tails, Electric Imp’s new ready-to-run dev kit add-on modules”

I hope you can find a way to make these readily available. I also think a few other Tails, such as relays, could be of interest. FWIW. That being said, if the imp001 is out of production, the supply of those and April cards will dry up.

I’d cut them some slack since they’re a startup. I asked because I was planning to write up a blog post on how I’m using the led Tail to build a simple alert system for our CI pipeline and wanted to add info on how to get the parts.

Do update us when there’s more information on availability of the tails - I’d love to add that into that blog post.
