Proconn SD card short type

I have an application where a regular SDCARD connector does not fit on the PCB.  I am forced to use the ‘short type’ SD card connector and I was wondering if a shorter SD card connector will affect WIFI antenna performance, etc.

We’ve not tested with a short connector, but a shorter metal profile is definitely better than longer. Very easy to give it a try and an informal range test though - use a ticktock on the server and an LED on the imp and see when it stops flashing :slight_smile:
