Hi,

I know there is design limitation at the moment, but there is any plan (near or long future) to be able to transfer data between a mobile and an imp device direct via their local wifi:s?

Yes. Can’t give more detail at this point, but secure local comms is coming to modern imps. It’s very likely that this will not be supported on imp001/002 due to code space limitations.
