Local Server

I am working on home automation project and planning to use imps at each switchboard. So the plan is that master controller (raspberry pi) get a some command and then based on the required switch it will call the imp with params. The issue here is that if in any case the internet fails (could be ISP or in continent wide outage due to cable cut or any type of failure) i would not be able to turn on the lights. This becomes a challenging job as in India home internet does have great SLA.

To solve such connection issues can we have a full fledge imp server running locally or a direct way to communicate with IMP. Example allow http requests to/from the imp.

no.

But in the long run, you might be able to switch them with the use of a flashlight :-S
