…and I’m really impressed at how nice and legible it is. For example, here’s shot of it running Joe’s demo code:

My original plan was to build an attendance logger that would post an RFID badge ID and display the username, etc. Unfortunately, 1) there are no GPIO pins available on Vanessa; and 2) the draw/refresh process is rather slow. So I’m going to build a ‘Today’s Events’ display that will take a feed from our existing signage system and display upcoming events for a lecture hall. We shall see…

Forgot to mention the coolest thing of all: the display is stable even when power is removed. I sort of knew that already, but was still surprised when I came into the office this morning and (with all cords and batteries removed) it looks exactly the same.
