I was reading about Firebase today: https://community.electricimp.com/blog/how-to-use-firebase-to-secure-your-electric-imp-application/ after beginning to develop a Jquery mobile authentication platform. I am unsure if this Firebase platform is meant for the scalable, individual systems commercial customers require. Thoughts?
Firebase is definitely designed with scalability in mind. They have a pretty good collection of customers, including some people building IoT applications. Here’s a post from the Nest Developer Blog talking about how Firebase is being used in the Nest service:
