Imp002 development board

Hi,

I am new to the forum and I am currently designing my own development board using the imp002 module. I have a couple of questions on the hardware requirements for such a design:

  1. Is there any additional hardware (other than power supply and bypass capacitors) to get the imp002 module up and running?
  2. I am wanting to bless imp001 modules later on without using the LEDs and phototransitors method, is this possible? If so, how would I go about designing for this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

The reference designs are the place to start. There are designs featuring both Imps with various support components. The only additional components you need for the imp002 are the photo transistor, Bi-color LED and related resistors (other than what you mentioned). I will be posting the designs/Eagle files for the two imp002 boards that I am building when they are fully tested and in production, but they are based on the reference designs so there isn’t much new there.

Where can I buy a simple IMP002 BREAKOUT BOARD
like the this one:

Is this the only version available ?

Thanks

Glad you asked. Here at MakeDeck, we really like the Imp module, and decided to design our own breakouts and manufacture some of the reference designs. If there are specific features that you are looking for, please let us know. Aria is available now, and P3V3 and C3V0 will be available very soon.

@DolfTraanberg - Thanks for the plug!

waves hand These are the Imp module breakouts you have been looking for.

I’m going to try this supplier when I do my next Imp project. Basically the same costs as getting an Imp1 and April board from Sparkfun:

miHomeImp is about $44
