Is there a quick and easy way to determine the firmware revision on the IMP?
If not, there should be a logging command like this …

Not yet. We will be adding a way for the user to display their firmware version at some point…
You can PM me if you want to know what FW version your imp is on. Be sure to include the MAC address of imp.
