Following Firebase’s announcement of a bunch of new features, will Electric Imp plan to support these?

It depends on what they are; eg, firebase cloud messaging isn’t anything to do with firebase, it’s google cloud messaging with a new name - so it’s not very firebase-y (appears to require XMPP to receive messages, which we don’t support).
You can certainly send FCM messages via their rest API, but receiving doesn’t appear to be possible at first glance.
Remote config looks like firebase-business-as-usual.
