Electric imp without "developer edition"

Just bought from www.robot-domestici.it but i’m not able to connect it to any wifi network.
After blinkup procedure, the led blink orange-red-orange-red-green then stay red forever.
My router see the imp only while it’s blinking.
I have another electric imp developer edition that works in all my wifi networks
The new imp has
IC: 4491A-IMP001
FCC ID:PPQ-IMP001
April board
In the imp IDE I can see the new device even if the led is red (device id 2334584cead3dbee)
Someone can help me ? I live in Italy

What wifi channel is your router on? This sounds like a USA imp so it will only work on channels 1-11.

My Asus RT-N66U router is now on channel 6. Channel is set to auto.
With the other imp the setup was so fast. Do you think this one is damaged ?
Today I will try in my office. Any suggestion ?

That seems pretty odd, you probably want to email Electric Imp with your Imp’s MAC address so they can take a look. I think you can send it to info@electricimp.com.

Led sequence (with different wifi networks)
orange-red-orange-red-green off for 3 sec then stay red

Asking what to do…

do you have a MAC-filter configured in your router?

No MAC-filter. Testing the IMP with multiple WiFi networks I get the same result…
orange-red-orange-red-green off for 3 sec then stay red

Networks:
Channel 6 - AES - WPA2 - Asus RT-N66U - 802.11n
Channel 1 - — - WEP - Telecom Italia Router - 802.11n

Wanna try in a open network (removing password)

Same behaviour in a open network

LED: orange-red-orange-red-green off for 3 sec then stay red

Device log @ LED GREEN
2014-01-29 23:52:11 UTC-1: [Status] Device booting; 1.59% program storage used
2014-01-29 23:52:12 UTC-1: [Status] firmware update triggered
Device log @ LED RED
2014-01-30 00:01:32 UTC-1: [Status] Device disconnected; 83 bytes sent, 0 received, 83 total

Now I have some doubts about hardware… damaged ?

@elfugo if you haven’t already sent the imp MAC address to info@electricimp.com, please do that (or PM me or @hugo) so we can check the logs.
