Could user write their MAC address in imp chip?

I have questions about MAC address.
Could user write their MAC address into imp chip?
Or, all MAC addresses provide from ElectricImp?

At this point, imp003 and imp004 have an Electric Imp mac prefix, and imp005 has a Murata mac prefix.

All of them are manufactured by Murata, though - if you really wanted your own prefix (and were willing to order enough parts) I’m sure Murata could build a batch with your prefix.
