My name is Rahul and I’m an Embedded developer in Xrevol Technologies, Bangalore, India. We are developing a home automation device using imp002. In our product imp002 is the only RF component, do we need to take any certification from CE, FCC, IC or can we use your certification.
Depends where you’re shipping. I believe India follows the CE regulations, but I don’t know if the concept of modular approval applies there. You need to contact a test house to check.
With any product, you will need to do testing of at least the unintentional emitter section (ie the non-imp bit). The imp’s approvals eg FCC and IC modular approval allow you to skip the intentional emitter section if your product qualifies for this in the US/Canada market.
