Broadcast SSID

Hello!

First I would like to say that you have created an awesome product! Now I would like to know if it’s possible for the electric-imp to be configured in such a way that it can broadcast an SSID, so it can be picked up by a any tablet/smartphone when listing available wifi networks to the device?

From my research I found out that the XBEE WIFI module is able to achieve this in Ad-Hoc mode.

Sorry, but the imp is a client device: it’s designed to connect to a WiFi hotspot not operate as one itself, or to share the connection it has. If your phone or tablet could see the imp, they could also see the hotspot the imp is connected to and access the WiFi network directly,
