Is there any way to force an imp device to download new code without a hard power cycle? I have an implementation of imp in a hermetically sealed enclosure, so I cannot physically power cycle it. Over the past 24 hours, the device has gotten stuck in an infinite loop and I cannot download new code to the device.
If you have to break it open, glue some magnetic switches to the inside box wall and when it’s resealed, you can open or close the switches with a magnet outside of the box. You may want a couple of switches for multiple uses, or different kinds of resets other than power. They sell both NO and NC magnet reed switches.
The next big release will break infinite squirrel loops for this very reason - after a decently long time period. Sorry it doesn’t help right at this moment though.
