I just got my Imp in the mail, and the LED stays a steady red. I have it hooked up to 5V power with a SparkFun breakout board. Commissioning doesn’t work (no recognizable LED blink status code), and the steady red LED doesn’t turn off even after several minutes. Is it DOA, maybe?
That’s very strange. What’s the mac address? Wondering if it’s a test escape from early production… email us at info@electricimp.com and we’ll get it swapped out.
I too have seen the red light of death, Hugo! I was able to do the blink up but soon after that it turned solid red and never woke up again. The mac is 0c2a6905514a. Current consumption is around 50mA, the ID appears in the dashboard but the code is not editable.
