AMQP moved back to preview status

We’ve taken the step of moving the AMQP feature from “available to developers” to “available in preview, on request”.

This is because there are still some unresolved memory leaks in the implementation, and we don’t want to destabilise developer servers.

We’ve pinned all products that have used AMQP recently to the preview server, so you shouldn’t have to do anything for your existing code.

If you need to use AMQP for something new, please contact us, and we’ll move your devices and agents around.

If you’re using AMQP for Azure IoTHub, we strongly encourage you to get in touch – we’ve got a preview MQTT implementation for IoTHub that enables more features. We’d like people to try it out.
