have you considered 1-wire humidity sensors? I haven’t tried humidity yet, but I have built multiple solar hot water monitors with EI and lots of 1-wire temp sensors on each. temp and humidity can be read at multiple points on the same cable pair…
Both of the above named devise are 1-wire. Normally, I’ve been simply using 10K NTC thermistors for temperature. The only reason I’m going with the above is for those instances in which I also need humidity.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not sure I’m up to SMD and all the interfacing to make this 100% production ready. Any ideas if anyone has built a breakout for this? I’m game for trying with some guidance, but have very limited funds.
Actually, upon further review, this looks like it might be easy to use if I can learn a bit about SMD soldering!
