Alternative 3v3 power supply

Hi Mikey,

Your remark about the unstable voltage did itch me a bit, so i setup a quick spare IMP with 1 uF aluminum elco https://www.distrelec.nl/elfa3~nl_nl/elfa/init.do?item=67-254-29&toc=19089 front and back and its logging since yesterday on a 3,7V 4400 mA NH accu. So far its looking fine until the accu runs out ofc .
listed as IMP 3

http://secupatch.nl/impdata/

is that with it constantly transmitting data?

Mine was also too high like yours seems to lean towards (3.4V), after I added the big capacitor it is very close to 3.3V

imp.wakeup(60.0, readvoltage);
agent.send(“put”, { “IMP3voltage”:voltage})

Updated every 60 sec

I am transmitting data from the imp to the agent 5 times every second. Could add more spikes to it.

i think we can definitely blame lack of extra buffering with additional capacitor that u should ad. The rest are luxury problems :). I shouldn’t wurrie about the extra spikes/fluctuation, because its neg-electable i.m.h.o.

I cant raise the updating to xively because of there speedlimit, and we will not get actual data.

Edit typo: (defently? or definitely) :slight_smile:

I am also only posting to xively every 60 seconds, but I am transmitting from the device to the agent 5 times every second. Those messages only update the table with json on the agent so my freeboard board can pull it from there.
