Customer built hardware (ours) powered by IMP. Unfortunately a device w IMP chip is damaged, IMP006 is fine, but the customer hardware has to be retired, at best. Is there any way to salvage that chip and use it on its replacement. I ask because we have customers, and were we to have this situation in any scale, it would be good to know I can switch out to provide the customer with new hardware.
I believe you can de-solder the imp006 module and re-solder it onto another, working board. There may be an issue if you also need to replace the external SPI Flash, and if that’s the case – or you have further questions – and you’re an Electric Imp customer, I’d encourage you to file a ticket at Electric Imp Support,
