UK School teacher - hugely need your help

I have simplified the password and checked in many times. I’ve probably tried this over a hundred times now. I just don’t even see where the problem could be.

  1. Blink up connects the ORBneXt to my home internet router with no problems
  2. TP-Link connects my phone and laptop to the internet with no problems

Yes with the combination it does all the blinking, says it’s connecting then doesn’t connect

Quick check: have you tried the TP-Link with no password? Does your OrbNext connect to it then?

And a double-check (for me): Your TP-Link isn’t maintaining its WLAN in auto-channel mode, ie. you have set it manually to channel 6 (or some other channel between 1 and 11 inclusive)?

I DID IT! I DID IT! THANK YOOOOU

a) I didn’t realize that I had to catch the red light while it was blinking, I guess the ORBneXt goes into standby mode?

b) Having no password seemed to make the blink up happen much quicker

Having got that, you can go back and re-enable the password and try again. You should then be where you are now (ie. in possession of a connected Orbnext) but using a secure network.

Well done.

I am

Splendid!
