For light sensing applications the light emitted by the imp’s indication LEDs may pollute the data, when the imp is connecting. I would like to ask you please to make available to the developers the turning off of the indication LEDs. Thanks!
If it’s not the imp001, put a switch on the LED.
imp.enableblinkup(false) will do this, but not within 60 seconds of a cold boot (to allow for reconfiguration in the case where you’ve got bad code on there).
