My daughter’s grade school has little Bits for their maker class (4th grade). It seems to be going very well and she has shown interest in it. For that reason i give them a big thumbs up!
just a very quick thought about cloud connectivity - seems like a big leap but then I only have a 9-year old. Maybe this cloud connectivity could be used in middle school.
I don’t see this product as being very similar to electric imp mainly due to the difference in the intended market. then again - maybe as an engineer I am clueless about product placement and marketing ; )
I think cloud connectivity is crucial as for this generation, rich interfaces such web pages and apps are the way they are used to interacting with things and is a way to get them excited
