I’ve recently got my Redlight, and my modem has both the 2.4G and 5G wireless networks available. Is the Redlight, and Imp compatible with the 5G? I’ve been noticing that it seems to be pretty flaky unless I have my phone connected to the 2.4G network
The red light, like all imps, can only use 2.4G wireless networks, not 5G. However, it shouldn’t matter to the red light which network your phone is on: the communication between the phone and the red light goes via Budweiser’s (and Electric Imp’s) cloud services, not directly across WiFi.
